The catawba worms are here!!! Austin is so excited to use them to go fishing with. GG said that Papa use to pick them off the tree and put them in a brown paper bag in the fridge until he was ready to use them. And that is exactly what we did!
I haven't been doing a good job keeping up with the blog. I just added random pictures to show what has been going on in our life over the past few weeks. We've been very busy, but we're having a
BLAST!
Now that Austin is a reader, Madi loves for him to read her books. He is such a good big brother!
My Green-Eyed GirlHere are a couple of recent pictures of Madilyn. She's such a doll! Not only did she get my "honker" teeth, but also my green eyes. She's adorable!
The touch tank was also a big hit. They had all kinds of sea creatures you could pick up and feel. Madi was more into splashing everyone!
We did so many fun things. We watched a sea lion show. In the shark tank we saw lots of sharks and a giant sea turtle. The fish tanks were full of beautiful tropical fish. We had a picnic lunch at the beach before we left. It was a great day!!!
This past weekend, D taught Austin had to ride his bike with "2 wheels."
On Tuesday night, Austin and I went to the fair. We had alot of fun together...just the two of us (although the Austin kept saying, "I wish Madi was here."). We rode rides, talked, and shared a funnel cake. Austin's favorite ride was the Fun Slide because (and I quote) "it makes you want to throw up, but you don't." We had a blast and were very tired by the time the night was over.
Finally on Thursday, we had a sunny day! The first one all week. We went to Navarre beach and soaked up the sun. We played and collected live sand dollars at the beach for about 4 hours and then headed over the bridge to play at the Navarre park. The kids loved the splash pad (unfortunately my camera battery went dead as soon as we arrived)!
All in all, the week was a blast!! I wouldn't have traded it for the world!!!
happy!
And these are my 2 MOST beautiful reasons!!!
I love my kids!!!
